5" 3-Way Active Reference Monitor (Pair) - Ex Demo

This PAIR of monitors are ex demo/display and are now available for resale. Not with original packaging but come with power cables and tweeter protection grids. Both monitors bear slight cosmetic wear (see pictures) including some minor mark, scuffs and general dust/finger marks but are in perfect working condition. They come with a 12 Month Warranty.

The SC305 combines the power from three different amplifiers to deliver a very efficient, dynamic and low noise sound reproduction with dedicated woofer and mid-range drivers that can be interchanged easily to suit the position of the monitors and your needs. EVE’s three-way systems are developed for critical and detailed listening, not just to deliver power and thunderous bass - although they’re great at that too.

With a moderate size footprint and superb technical characteristics, the SC305 has virtually no competition on the market today and would be a valuable addition and an asset to any critical listening environment.

EVE’s 3-way monitor systems are designed around the basic but important principle of proper frequency distribution across all individual components, thereby raising the efficiency of the individual drivers. The two 5” drivers from EVE’s proprietary and familiar SilverCone line and are the same model used in the 2-way SC205.

Because there are two of EVE’s sophisticated low distortion copper cap magnet SilverCone speakers being used simultaneously the frequency response is increased down to 50Hz. Both speakers are reproducing a different frequency range meaning less physical work for each woofer which in turn reduces mechanical inertia and achieves a more efficient transmission of sound.

In the SC305 one woofer delivers frequencies from 50Hz > 350Hz, functioning as the "bass woofer" while the second woofer produces a fuller range and takes over at the 350Hz crossover frequency as a bass-midrange driver all the way up to 3000Hz. When it comes to determining how to place the SC305 in your room or studio properly, Eve Audio’s legendary DSP section will assist you in choosing the speaker for left and right hand side. So you will always get proper symmetry between your speakers, instead of having to move them around as usual. With a DIP switch, located on rear of the speakers these settings for room adaptation can be temporarily locked.

The SC305 also features EVE’s proprietary AMT RS3 tweeter, which uses a bigger front plate and a bigger internal magnet to drive the AMT tweeter with greater efficiency all the way up to 21 kHz. Designed and built from only the best components, EVE’s Air Motion Transformer ribbon tweeters are a true work of engineering art.

The drivers in the SC305 are powered by 3 individual 50 Watt PWM power amplifiers that won't leave you lacking any power. All in all, the SC305 will probably be regarded as the single most detailed three-way monitor speaker in the market for its specific size and price range.

The front panel mounted push knob gives access to accurate DSP-based volume control and filter settings via high quality A/D converter (24bit/192 kHz) from Burr-Brown that. Delivering a pristine signal to the DSP section. Since the PWM amplifiers are directly connected to the DSP, no additional conversion is necessary, providing accurate volume control and several different filter settings (high-shelf, desk, low-shelf) to help tailor your monitors to your environment and the way you work.

The rear rectangular port has no hard edges, a design EVE Audio carefully deliberated on before choosing for all of their 2-way, 3-way and 4-way monitors. The result is high sound pressures with tight and punchy bass frequencies that don't cause port distortion and is one of the reasons EVE monitors have such amazing efficiency on lower frequencies and will deliver an even rounded bass response even with the volume cranked.

As with every other EVE Audio speaker, you get both balanced XLR inputs and unbalanced RCA inputs for greater convenience.

For extended bass response, an external subwoofer can be added. Eve Audio recommends either the TS108 or TS110 from their ThunderStorm series.

All of our repacked units are considered to be in a sellable condition and well-worthy of their price tag. All repacked units come with a 30-day warranty. Products that are listed with bundled with software may or may not include the installers, where applicable a download link and instructions are supplied.
